Eighth BOSIFEST from 10 to 12 October at the "Sava Centar"

City Council member Dragomir Petronijevic addressed at the presentation BOSIFEST Film Festival in the City Hall and on this occasion said that the City of Belgrade will continue to bring down the barriers that are obstacles and difficulties in the lives of people with disabilities.

Petronijevic said that in Belgrade there are still barriers that interfere with persons with disabilities, but that during the last three years done a lot in terms of improving the quality of life of these people.

- We were able to facilitate the carriage, which was one of the main problems, but also the availability of institutions, and trying to be worthy partners of people who believe in themselves and their work. This festival is organized by people with disabilities and thus show that work and belief in yourself can promote their city and at the same time the device a serious festival. BOSIFEST every year recorded an increase in the number of participants, and the same goes for movies that are all the better. Projects of this type certainly contribute to the tourist offer of Belgrade - said City Council member.

According to him, the main task of the City of Belgrade is to be a partner and service to citizens.

- Let me remind you that in the context of our recent program of 87 persons with disabilities completed IT training, and communicate directly with companies offering employment. For example, the city has invested in the Directorate for Building Land and Construction of Belgrade, were made access ramps, modified toilets and there now has a staff of people with disabilities. Depending on the disability, in cooperation with the people and the people whose job it is to make life easier, we make specialized training and joint programs - said Petronijevic.

He added that the City of Belgrade work for the serious training centers for people with disabilities. For us, he says, is to find adequate space and I hope we would until end the year have that center in Belgrade.

- Center will be managed by people with disabilities, not the City Assembly. This is the right partner for which we fight - said Petronijevic.

Festival director Darko Ivic thanked the City of Belgrade, he said, the readiness at any moment to meet, provide space and resources for events that bring together people with disabilities.

- The city is behind this festival, giving media and financial support, which means a lot to us. Association Hendi Center "Koloseum" is the organizer of the festival, a BOSIFEST being held for the eighth time. The event will be held at the "Sava Center", not as far in the Belgrade Youth Center, because we want to provide as many young people attend the festival, which will run from October 10 to 12 - said Anic.
